Glow plugs don't last forever, and durability life is wildly variable. You need to read the links in post #1 to educate yourself on this topic. .

I am in the process of replacing all these fuel lines. Be advised the banjo bolt replacement is a dealer item only and will take additional time to get.
I removed the intake manifold for ease of reaching the lines. Thank you for this post it was a big help!

FYI
Don't wait until the bitter cold of winter to replace weak / damaged glow plugs.

Bill Is there a need for the ultimate om606 glowplug removal guide ?
I was doing quite well ..had one u/s glowplug out ... reamed and replaced ( with generous anti seize and 27 nm ) But the next ... followed lots of advice until I read that someone used a electric 12 volt rattle gun to good effect ...that was not good advice ...I was getting tired etc... Looking at timeserts now ( got the mongrel out though ) Your thoughts? Cheers from Australia Peter |
