Diesel Injector Rebuild - Reccomendations?

I did a search, but really didn't come up with anything. I just sent my 500E's injectors out to be tested and rebuilt for $12/each.

My 98 E300 has some horrid injector knock.. I figure I should get it done. Any reccomendations? Thanks!

It sounds like you are taking care of it. What is the question?

I got my 500E (NOT DIESEL) injectors rebuilt for $12/each.

They do not rebuild diesel injectors.

I am now looking to get my E300 (DIESEL) injectors rebuilt for around the same price.

Last time I read TomJ no longer does this job. I think your only options are to either find a local diesel injection shop or buy an injector tester and do it yourself. First though, I'd try some Diesel Purge.

Yeah what's so unintelligible about your question? I understood it just fine.

$12 for 500E injectors seems like a deal. I always thought gas cars required new ones, ie the old ones could not be rebuilt. I don't know of anywhere you could have diesel injectors done for $12, but TomJ will soon come back into the fray. I have two sets from him and they are good. Until then I'd just do a 4-can drive-around-the-block-with-it Lubro-Moly purge. Really get on it when you take it for a spin.

I don't even know if they will get involved in shipping. But usually they test them and then rebuild whatever ones test bad. So their is no core charge.

Their number is (203) 787-6746.

They do good work they did my injectors and my friends.

For a 603 I think it costs about $70 per injector. But not all 6 will need to be rebuilt.

I had 4 bad ones, and my friends E300D had one bad injector at 150k miles. It was nailing slightly.

TurboD ... Keep on posted when you pull those injectors... I've been wanting to pull mine ever since I got my car, but maybe this year will be different :-)

That's a lot per injector, I've seen new injectors online for $5?.?? - But then again the new ones aren't tested

TurboD... let us know how much fun it is to pull the injectors. I'm been meaning to do it myself as I know one injector is bad on mine, you can hear it clearly nail on one cylinder when cold.

(Diesel) injectors

Gentlepersons,

"Hang On To" your ORIGINAL injector nozzles. Find a BOSCH authorized S.S.
to rebuild your injectors with the ORIGINAL nozzels.
New (O.E.) or Aftermarket replacement injectors may have DEFECTIVE parts
manufactured in a forth world sweatshop with POOR Q.C.
