b2 band valve cover leak
I read on a diy that you cannot change the seal on the band valve cover with the trans in the car.
I have a 1983 300d turbo. I changed the valve but did not touch the seal and now it leaks. Can it be changed without tranny removal? Thanks Steve

Are you refering to the B2 piston? The seal is a pain but can be done with the trans in the car. I would recommend a pick set to remove it. The hard part is getting the pick behind the seal to pull it out of the channel.
