Lever Ball Joint tool Source? Rental?
Hi Gang, I need a lever style ball joint/tie rod tool. Every place I've found online wants as much or more for shipping than what the tool costs! Anyone here know where I can get a decent one or anyone want to rent??

It's a 2 pronged pry bar about 1 foot long, generic for all ball joints and costs about $9. They've got one at O'Reillys auto parts here.

I just went to Autozone and borrowed one. You have to pay a deposit, which is refunded when you return the tool.

I bought mine from here:
http://www.mytoolstore.com/toolaid/suspn02.html Harbor freight will probably have one too. I had to file down the end of the pickle fork to get it to work. Don't tell anyone at Autozone I did that. Also, those joints on the steering knuckle have a hex key socket to hold it in place while tightening it up. Do not screw up those threads. Danny

I "borrowed" one of those from Autozone. $99 deposit was refunded when I returned it.
