I smashed my fingers the other day when the wrench slipped, and I did yell out "Chrysler!!".

I know. I felt bad seconds after I said it, but I couldn't help myself. Typically I've said "Ford", and after a nasty hot manifold burn I even blurted out "LADA", but in the micro-seconds between the wrench box-end loosing traction on the offending fastener and by epidermis being peeled away from it's usual resting place, my two brain cells had a fight and dug deep into the archives and came up with this horrifically distasteful blaspheme.

It has scarred me for life.

Yes, I was trying to be provocative...I have (nor had) no intentions of going down that path.

Can you imagine that post...."I've given up on the MB, I'm getting a reliable Volvo diesel."....A few people might call 911

I tend to speak better than I write. If I curs it’s to imply emotion which is harder to imply when writing than speaking. I tend to curs a lot when working on things that are not going the way there supposed to. Although to day I was replacing my front rotors on the 240D and things went well only 1 or 2 hang-ups. I don’t think I cursed at all

If they didn’t want implied cursing they would not have these
:wtf:

All the above are primarily due to lack of large vocabulary.
It is also reinforced by the work enviroment / tv /video films/movies etc.

We live in a world where your kind of comments are supressed due to the need to be seen as politicaly correct.....

The french have the largest number of curse words in the world, but i prefer the Ron Burgundy style of epithets, like "jumping knights of columbus" or i just grit my teeth, after working on cars long enough, it is pointless and improfessional to curse at something, go out relax for 10 min come back and look at it logically and see if you cant figure out how it was designed to come off. This is more productive (usually :p ) than grabbing the biggest hammer you can find and swearing to kill the next mb engineer you can find.

I am usually not offended by normal profanity, although if I might say so myself, I think I've done a great job in the last 10 or 12 years in cleaning up my GI mouth. What DOES offend me and offends me GREATLY is blasphemy. Before I stopped checking in here on a very regular basis, I saw EXTREME and UNDISGUISED blasphemy in the title of a post. I must say that it REALLY turned me away in spite of the fact that the moderators did a very classy and diplomatic job of cleaning it up at my request.

My $0.02,
Glad you're back

Seems like it has eight more lives than necessary.
