Years ago, I managed a local parts store. We used mostly Toyota trucks for deliveries. They were indestructible. Which was good because we did no repairs or maintenence unless something fell off/truck wouldn't start. We did have a real POS Tercel, it leaked oil from every orfice because the rings were hashed and the blowby incredible. One day, a driver came up and said that the "Turdcel" wouldn't start. He had a important delivery for a valued customer on board and the phone was ringing of the hook. I grabbed a bottle of ether and sprayed half down the carb. It chugged to life, I told the driver not to shut it off until he got back. It never ran again. Later when our machine shop pulled the motor down for a rebuild the machinist asked me how much ether did I use on it while showing me the piston that had a whole side blown off. The owner didn't find the situation very amusing.

i think its a step up from a vw bus.

i'd drive one if it were shiny, with a red interior and a sliding canvas roof.

imagine how easily one could put a nice stereo in it!

i bet theres no solid bulkhead and only cutouts for silly little <6" speakers in there=)

The only thing I ever use starting fluid on is a lawnmower these days....because my shoulder is not what it used to be if the mower is being difficult. (all my mowers have been free)
