Any general issues with 87 300D?

A friend of mine is interested in buying an 87 300D. Aside from the usual maintenance issues, are there any consistent achille's heels that should steer her away from looking at it? I am up on the 123 body 617s, but don't know doodly poodly about about anything later or earlier. (Bad me, I know, I should expand my diesel horizons...) Thanks in advance for your advice.
