Trans Cooler Line/hose Leak Help

95 e300d 158k. Started leaking about a month ago. This is at the bottom of the radiator on the driver's side of the engine. Is this an easy fix? Pic attached.

On your engine is the oil cooler on that side? Mine is and the lines going to it have a slow leak that's covered the compressor just like that. Its not enough to affect the oil level between changes but just enough for a ton of dirt and crud to collect.

This line comes from the bottom up the side of the radiator, over the top of the radiator and down the passenger side.

Looks like a trans cooler line. I am not that familer with the W124/606 but on the W210/606 the oil cooler is no where near the radiator.

Any grief to removing and reinstalling? Will trans fluid flood my garage floor when I try to fix it?

you'll lose a couple quarts so have a drain pan near by and some extra Dexron III.

Thanks

I never did them on a W124 but on the SDL only a little fluid came out. I didn't drain the pan, I just let it drip and screwed the new line on. Then start the car, move the shifter through the gears a few times and let it idle for a few minutes. Check the trans fluid and top off.
