Leveler pump - TD engine in sedan

I had this in another thread, with limited success. I just swapped in a TD engine into a 1984 300D. I am trying to figure out how to deal with the leveler pump. Do I remove it and put some sort of seal around the opening? Do I plug the two orifices (or is it orifi?)? DOes any one here have experience with such things?
