Am I reading this properly?
I've dug into the engine for a valve adjust, timing chain check, injector cleaning/balance and a few other tidbits.
On timing chain stretch, is this ok? I'm reading it as around 2.5 degrees of stretch: Also, am I looking at the right guide to check for wear: If that is all ok I'll finish adjusting the valves and then check the injector pump timing. Like my injector pump condoms? -Tad

Perhaps you might want to check the archives for checking timing chain stretch etc. You are not using the regular approach in my opinion. Mark interpretation is not really good enough to start with. You will have to borrow a dial gauge and read up on procedure to get an accurate chain stretch reading. Not really hard. You may want to buy offset cam key to adjust for any chain stretch detected to optimize engine performance. Good pictures.

I'll be honest, I did a bunch of reading and found a few methods. It seemed like this was the method that more people were in favor of. I own a dial indicator and will use that method as well. I'll see what I can determine tomorrow night with it.
Am I at least reading the crank properly? Thanks for the advice, Tad
