Thumbs up W126 Wiper blades?

I tried some cheapo wipers from the local McParts but they fit like crap on my SD. Will the easily available Bosch Microedge Excels work properly on the SD or will I have to order the blades up from online?

Thanks

The wiper Blade Insert will work, if the carrier arm mount clip is not damaged.

Take care to install on the correct side, or they whack the A pillar.

I installed the TriplEdge Units that you can get at Walmart. I am very pleased with them so far. Lifetime warranty too! (Never have to buy wipers again!)

I have probs with them catching on the hood if I don't clean out the ice in the passenger side A pillar. I causes the blade to "ramp out" and get caught on the hood. If I clean out the ice, it works fine.

Oh, and the drivers side wiper just contacts the chrom trim at the top of the windshield. But, it's a barely....

I have had horrible luck running Autozone Bosch blades on my W126's. Both of them poped one off in about a month, not fun while driving! I bought the good ones to they were not cheap. The ones sold online clip on and work much better. I hate to say it but you are better off just buying them online.

I've had good luck with the Bosch blade that you can get through fastlane. No streaks or skips.

Try those 5 dollar Anco blades you can get at Autozone... they're surprisingly good and durable.

I use whatever the higher priced bosch unit is.

Since I have a mono-wiper, I bought the best the parts store had. It's been over 3months, and they still work like new.

I beleive it was $20.

I have Bosch installed now and they keep flying off. I have no clue why, I can hear them click when I slide them on.

You can't turn them around, however they can be swapped left for right, and right for left.

I would need pictures of the mount area for diagnosis.

Post #109 for a better understanding of why the parts-R-us wiper arms will not fit.
