Oil filter for E320CDI
I purchased a Hengst Oil filter (E17H D57) for my CDI. Nowhere on the packaging is the word "Fleece" mentioned and the filter appears to be paper to me. Mercedes recommends the use of the fleece filter when going with the factory recommended oil change intervals. Does anyone know if this is a fleece filter? Can anyone recommend a source (other than the stealer) for the fleece filter? Thnaks

Thanks, never noticed it. Looks like they sell the same paper filter I bought. I did send them a request, thanks for the 411

ha ha pretty clever.
For what it is worth, my investigation has revealed that for the CDI available in the states, the inline 6, only a paper element is available. I did uncover a part number for a fleece filter for an E320CDI 4MATIC, but that must be the EURO car with the newer V6 diesel. |
