ONBOARD block heater timers?
Hey, anyone have any ideas for an onboard timer for the block heaters? I am thinking that it would be better to have a timer onboard for the times when you need to plug in... at work, when staying at a friends etc. I suppose I could just mount a regular timer but I bet there is something made for this...
any links? Thanks

power source
Any ideas on what to use for an onboard power source? Outlets aren't always available. I have heard of using a marine battery.
Thanks, Glenn |

There are relays available (popular on VW Westys) to isolate a second battery for accessories but allow it to charge. It would be interesting to install one with a deep cycle marine battery as an on board power source for the block heater with a timer. That way it won't drain the existing system but still will charge.
