I washed all that nasty salt off and gave her a nice waxing a couple days ago.

Haven't really had to do anything parts related in quite a while, this is good!!

Did an alignment at the begining of the month.....besides that the past few months have just been cleaning it, an oil change or two, fuelin', and the alignment....not much considering the amount of miles I've put on it with no problems. Finally!!!

I gave it some sealer around the driver's side windshield today, in my never ending quest to stop the water leakage. Still can't find it......
I also vacuumed the spring troughs and washed the inside of the windows.
We took it to view Christmas lights tonight. My 8 year old watched from the 3rd seat, and my wife sat up front and complained that the idle pitch/vibrations were giving her a headache! Any guess what was giving me one.....

Just gave her an early present of a full fluid and filter change along with the valve job. A new drivers front mat is needed but the set is around $100 no matter where you look. She also got a new stereo and speakers a month or so ago.

i have a water leak...in my sunroof driver's side back corner...it will ONLY leak when high pressure water is sprayed on it...like at a automated car wash....i only go there for the underbody cleaning to get the salt off...the drains are clear but i have no idea where its coming from..there is a SMALL tear in the headliner material in that area..water comes in from there a bit but also from the crack...

Looks like the 300D will be getting new oil cooler lines. 100K on the current ones and the lower one is starting to leak. That leads to a couple other "while we're in there" projects, such as 100k on the engine mounts, unknown miles on the flex disks, etc.

Bought myself benzes..:-)

While looking for a 300SD, I chanced upon this stretch 300SDL. Fell in love with it and bought it. I'll be looking at an 87 300SDL later today and hope to get it too if the price is right.

Used to have a 300sd 116 10 years ago and gave it to a friend after 5years. Now that I have some moolah... I am giving myself a present by going back to the excellent safety and comfort features I once enjoy with my MB.
I'm expecting to get a lot of exchanges in this forum. Merry Christmas to all.

Welcome to the forum.

Everybody needs at least two SDL's.

Nope. I'm getting too old to do that kind of work laying on my back in the dirt. I do need to get a look at it though and see exactly where the leak is. Could be the lower line, or could be the cooler itself.

Paul, I feel your pain. I did the lines on the SD on the garage floor and it was definitely a PITA. Quite a bit of patience required to remove the old fittings without damage.

Getting the new lines to go behind the engine mount was major surgery.
