Automotive Archeology-Power Steering Pump Filter
I replaced the power steering fluid and filter today in the 300SD for the first time since I had it. I know the PO didn't change it in the 3 years he had it.
I removed the filter and found it looks like a permanent "washable" element with some steel framing. I replaced it with the usual paper filter. Anyone run across one of these "washable" filters? I wonder if it is original? I wonder if the fluid was original? (yuk) Rick
