Electronic Woes? 97 E300D OM606

I just returned from a fourth trip to my local Indie to get the injection pump outlet seals replaced. The first two let us get the parts identified (same o-ring and copper crush washer as the OM603), the third to install them and this last one to reset a Check Engine Light that lit as I left on the third visit.

The code was "Check Injection Computer". I didn't even know the verdamt thing had an injection computer, since it's all mechnical as far as I can see. To make matters just a bit worse, it threw a CEL code on the way home tonight again. Both times I had just got up a decent velocity (45 MPH or so).

Any ideas as to whats really wrong? The indie removed the inlet mainfold for access to the top of the inejction pump. Mebbe he bumped the resonance flaps? Mebbe I popped yet another fragile glowplug?

What do you guys think?
