Thumbs up Why in Cali are most of the broken SDLs?

Here's another decently clean looking one and I'm too far away to grab it to rebuild.

Cali has some nice cars. Too bad it would cost me $2000 to ship that car back over here.

Wonder why that one had the headlamp wipers removed? Seem's odd anyone would feel a need to do that, they certainly weren't very obtrusive.

LOL - I have the parts to fix that one just like the maroon one from Craigslist a while back. I just wish they were closer... even New Mexico I'd drive to get one.

TX, CA, NY have most of the odd 80s vehicles I've noticed.

It cost me <$800.00 to ship my diesel from CA to the east coast.

Ca and Fl cars are in poor condition because the owners tend to spend their money on shiny wheels, tinted windows, and stereo systems, rather than upkeep.

Shipping = fuel cost + food cost + little cash + means to get home.

Not too expensive if the time of year is right

My friend and I always wanted to road trip deliver some cars. We love driving.

That one has a fine looking body from the single picture shown. It's well worth $1K if you were nearby.

You'll never get the shipping down to anything near $1K from coast to coast, especially for a non-runner. I'd guess that the cheapest would be somewhere around $1200. Rates are up significantly due to the fuel costs.

Thats right Brian...shipping a car that won't move under its own power costs far more than one that does....I found that out a few years ago..thankfully BEFORE I bid on the car. Was enough to make me change my mind...

It could be a real nice car. The body is probably perfectly rust free as well.

If someone had a rotted out SDL, they could buy that and have it shipped to their door for just under $2k. You can't fix much rust for $2k.
