engine noise

have a 84 300d with a clacking noise. cant pin it down. have put new timing chain on it. removed rocker arm assy. removed injectors. replaced camshaft. turning motor with starter still has this noise (sounds like a lifter collasped on a gas engine. can a wrist pin or loose rod cause this. removed oil pump chain for a few turns still noise presist. any help would be greatly appreciated.

pump. dont know about the other things.

unfortunately know about vac pumps noise.
