W220 Impressive Diesel Power, although...
 

I just tested for a couple of days an S 320 CDI (2005, W220, with 4,200 miles).

Everyone in this forum knows about my adverse opinions about the W220, although this car fitted with a straight-six cylinder turbodiesel (engine code 648.960) left me quite impressed. It is even FASTER than the S 350 !!!

A friend is thinking about buying this peculiar beast. I did point him out all the issues about the W220 chassis, although I am out in the forest about this particular diesel unit.

Can you help about any issues in particular to look for??? The G 400 CDIs have been a complete failure here due to many malfunctions related to fuel quality. I wonder if this model is susceptible too?
