Looking for a 300D mechanic in Tampa bay

I am not as mechanically inclined as alot of you guys and I'm looking for someone in the Tampa Bay area that can help me out. I don't mind paying for help, but I have been burned by dealerships too many times.

Tranny Slam

When the tranny on my 1984 300D shifts from 1'st to 2'nd, you feel a smooth shift then slam. Other issues with engine performance, I don't have all the equipment for checking vacuum and all the other tools. Just bought a 420 SEL at an auction yesterday for $800. The car is in awsome condition. The only thing that doesn't work is A/C and heat. Blower fan does not come on at all. Have not had time yet to research problem.

If he doesn't happen to notice this thread, you might try asking Rick Miley if he can recommend an indy mechanic in that area.
