I've recently become interested in owning a vacuum pump, and wondered which one should i buy, a mityvac, or the brass craftsman one?? what one is better?

I have used my Mity Vac a lot, it has been very usefull. I bought the one from Harbor Freight. I haven't used the Craftsman one, but the one I have has all the adapters and connectors a person could ever want.

Mity Vac from Harbor Freight

I'm not so sure that a warranty is that critical. These things are pretty simple devices. I don't have any experience with the Craftsman device, but I own the metal Mity-Vac (vs. the plastic one). You can get rebuild kits for it at Northern Tool, but I've never needed one and I've used mine for over ten years.

I have used the MityVac lots of times and find it to be an exceptional vacuum pump. It is far superior to the Liquivac. Don't know anything about the Craftsman but I don't think you can wrong with the Mityvac.

I had a Mightyvac for about ten years. It stopped working one weekend and I bought the Craftsman one, I needed a quick replacement. It is just as good as the Mightyvac. I've had the Craftsman for about three years now and use it quite often.
