CCU electrical setup on '84 300DT

Does anybody know which button is supposed to activate which switchover valve? I printed out the vacuum diagram but it doesn't show the electrical setup. It seems like none of the buttons for air direction has any effect, although, depending on which buttons are pressed I can feel a change in vacuum on the red/yellow hose that goes to the vacuum element for the legroom. (That's the only one I checked so far because it's the easiest accessable.) I assume that the vacuum element for the legroom is faulty, but since the defroster and dashboard vents don't close I expect either more vacuum elements to be faulty or something is wrong with some switchover valves. Any other ideas? Right now I have permanent air through defroster and dashboard vents and no air to my feet.
