I keep all my parts cars at the Junkyard.
I have been fortunate that I haven't really needed....I better not finish that.

i just took my last parts 240 to the crusher

yard about a month or so ago. but i have a good supply of 123 and a few 115 parts in my garage. engines, fenders, trannys, starters, alternators, bumpers, (mostly fronts), calipers, speedos, tail lights and head lights, seats, dash covers, hvac units, diffs, filters, and a host of other small parts.

oh and i still have my ex ralley 280e euro which i want to make into a historic racer.

I'd grab an SDL parts car in a heart beat. I have been looking for one for years, yet to find one.

I would never be able to keep it at our house. I'd keep it down my dads friends shop. He will give me a few months to strip it, then it would be crushed.

I had one - but I crushed it - rest in peace

Yes, the junkman came and picked it up in November. I had most everything off that I wanted, though if I had the space I would never get rid of a parts car until it was entirely used up. I think it is wonderful to have a parts car to play with when it come to making new repairs. It is a great training vehicle. I do have a wonderful selection of usable parts in my garage. I did a lot of sorting out and modifying my storage so that it would be easier to know what bin the part is in.

I was planning on just grabbing parst off my wrecked '85 until I could scrape up the $4k to fix it but now I'm thinking more along the lines of finding I good body with a blown motor and do a swap. I'll post pics later.

Oh yeah I should also add I'm lucky enough to be living on 30 acres so, between my dad's old rusting cars that he says he's going to resurect "some day" and mine, we've got one heck of a collection. Too bad most of his are his old Hondas that he's got sentimental attachment too. I wouldn't mind having another Mercedes parts car, though. Its very hand to have.
