Different colored front corner lights?

I purchased 2 parts cars and one keeper W123. Between the 3 cars I ended up with 4 good front corner lights. All 4 are Bosch brand. One of them is a left side light and 3 are right side lights. Maybe it is just a coincidence, but the left side light is dark amber and all 3 right side lights are light amber.

First question: Were the colors different year lights? They are very consistent in color so I'm pretty sure that I don't have 3 faded and one new light.

Second question: does anyone with a parts care want to trade one light so that I have a matching set?

I heard the dark amber is from euro spec vehicles but I can't confirm that. I think they look nicer personally. My car has a light on the passanger side and a dark on the driver side.

What do the electrical connections look like?

My driver's (left) side turn signal was spiderwebbed, so I got a new set from Ebay. They are much darker orange/amber colored than the original. Turns out they are Euro corners.

The US spec light bulbs have two filaments inside. One lights up when running the fogs. The other lights up while blinking. If you look at the electrical connection for the US spec turn signals, you will see three pegs for three wires.

These new (Euro) light sockets have only two electrical connection pegs, and are made for regular one filament bulbs. City lights do the job of running lights on Euro models.

Clear corners are not euro. Euro corners are almost red. I have a darker side on my left side as well, but it is not red enough to be the euro light. The clear corners you see people use are just tacky (in my personal opinion) aftermarket lights. No MB sold anywhere was ever originally fitted with clear corners. I would like a pair of real euro corners though for my SDL.

Thanks
David

I actually have Euro headlights with the city lights (parking lights). All of the corner lights that I have have 3 prongs though, even the ones that came on my Euro 300D.

The sockets are completely interchangable between the darker euros and the lighter US.

I gathered that was the case.

I'd love to find someone to swap me a light colored right side (or two) for one darker right side... socket or not. Or anything else that I have on either of my parts cars.

I have just the opposite, light on the drivers side and dark on the passenger side (it was replaced at some point by the prev-owner)
