No Power
1984 300d Turbo 136k
Check The Egr Valve, Remove The Two Bolts And One Bolt Clamp, Its On Top Front Engine With Vacuum Connector Right Side, Use Carbon Cleaner And Move Valve With Hand Vacuum Pump The One I Had Was Sticking And Binding, Hand Vacuum Would Ckeck Ok, It Would Close At A Fuel Stop Then Stick Open After A 1/2 Mile And Lose Power Maybe The Heat From Engine, Clean The Valve And Like New Mercedes |

the banjo bolt on the om617 engines is located on the intake manifold on the rear by the firewall you can trace the line from the alda to the banjo bolt on the manifold
beliv eme when i got my 300D i thought the turbo was crap because the p/o said so.. nope i checked the turbo for shaft play and spin and its in good shape.. just adjusted the alda and cleaned the banjo bolts.. and its better than ever |

I had a similiar situation with my 83 300 CD. I had no power from the start till the turbo kicked in which improved speed but still not right. Stumbled on the problem quite by accident. Had a small leak in the injection pump and took it to a MB mechanic for repair. After repairing leak he "timed" the engine which is done thur the injection pump. What a difference!! Now I'm not afraid to quickly pull out into traffic anymore!!! Just thought I would pass info along as it could be your problem.
