E320 Cdi Bluetec
Went to the Detriot Auto Show today and got a firsthand look at the new MB E-Class diesel with BLUETEC technology. From what I gathered, it sems to be a modern trap oxidizer. Hope MB gets it right this time. On the other hand, the car was painted a special promotional pewter metallic paint which was nothing short of gorgeous. Too bad MB isn't planning on this being an optional color for all models. You have to see it in person to fully realize the beauty.
Our first stop of the show was at the Ferrari booth where I was able to fenagle the two beautiful girls to let me and my two friends up onto the platform (it was roped off) because I was able to prove that I own a Ferrari (keeping an insurance card and FCA membership card in the wallet do come in handy for cerain things!). So we got an up close and personal view of the 612 Scagletti, the F430 Challenge (beautiful!) and the F430 spider. And believe it or not, the Ferrari folk were very friendly and helpful (only after they learned I have one in the garage at home though). All in all, a good show. If you're near Detroit, I highly suggest a visit. $12 to get in.
