Talking New fish inspired MB

Apprently Mercedes has made a new concept car that is inspired by a tropical fish. Its a tiny little thing.

Can't say that I would consider the styling as very desirable. However, 70-84mpg and decent performance from the direct-injection 4 cyl diesel engine is very impressive.

Maybe if they leaned more towards a carp.

Fish Face

I love it.
I always thought that a water droplet had to be the most aerodynamic shape around. All those wedge shaped cars made during the oil embargo back in the 80's or whenever, never made sense to me.
It always seems listening to and taking cues from nature works out better than a lot of our best efforts.
Nature has been doing drag coefficient test way longer than we have.
I want one of the fish cars, and a license plate saying " fshface"
I guess I'm just a hippie at heart.

Don't forget it's still a concept car. If it ever makes it to production the styling will be less radical. I bet they could sell a ton of those in the $25-30K price range. Strange little ugly/cute cars always seem to sell if they are cheap.

I'm not sure that's still true. Everyone and their mother seems to have diesel pick-ups these days.
