Removal of Modulator (green Top) from the transmission

82 300SD:
Any hints on how to remove it from the transmission. Turn counter clockwise and push in at the same time ?. I dont want to damage anything in there.
Any suggestion on how to remove it.
Thanks in advance !

Theres a plate that holds it in with 2 allen head bolts on each side. Once those are out its just friction holding it in so gently rotate and pull out.

Carefull of the plastic pin that is in there. Any make sure the one that is in the car will work with the new modulator. I had to switch form one that looked something like this:----l- to on that looked something like this: ----==. If the piston part of the modulator has a little hole in the middle you need the first on. If the piston is metal and doesn't have a hole in it you need the second one.

Unless the modulator is pulled straight out, you will likely break the pin.
