Low Oil Sensor Question

On my 350 SDL the oil light will come on about twice a year when it is down a quart or so. Question is why doesn't it come on each time it's low. Does the sensor need to be cleaned or replaced? Oil change is due so it would be convenient to do something with it.

Chris

Could be a bad connection as well. If my memory serves me their is a plug that plugs into the sensor. I'd clean the contacts and see if it goes away. Or you could just replace it they are pretty cheap.
