18 below, slow to start

It's -18'F this morning! I had the block heater plugged in all evening. I let the glow plugs run for about 40 seconds before attempting to crank. Boy was she slow to crank at first! It took about 30 seconds of hard cranking before she began to fire, about a minute before she finally did. It's 10 right now, i'll probably let her wake up for about an hour before I attempt to move the tires. My instinct tells me not to touch the veggie button today, heh, heh. She did run good on veggie on thursday though, I think the temps were right around zero that day. Just running a straight greasecar kit, no extras. Thinking about a pad heater for the tank (for overnights), so I can switch to veggie a little earlier. Anyone know of any other mods for cold weather?
