Unhappy 300sdl /126 Removing the reclining rear bench seat ?

I have dug through all of the posts on the subject and I am still flustered on finding a way to remove the rear seat bench (I have the reclining option). I have seen reference to bolts that hold the rear seat in place but I don't see any along the base of the rear seat. Are they under the carpet? or under the rear seat upholstery?

Help!

If you have the manual...

The instructions are located on the CD Manual under electrical system of body. Scroll through the pages and you will find it. If you dont have the CD PM me with your email and I will send the PDF files your way.

EDIT: The answer to your questions is "Unscrew both mounting screws in the seat bench in the left and right rear footwell".

Matt,

I have the shop cd and have found the section on rear seat removal. The procedure refers to removing two bolts in the rear seat footwall. I will be looking for these bolts tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Thumbs up

Two 10mm nuts on the bottom to hold where your bum sits. Slide it fwd then pull it out.

Rear is held to the frame via two more 10mm (maybe 8mm, I'm tired). Lift it UP then pull it down and out.

Find some money, wrappers, and misc trash. I found $4 in a boneyard SDL like that.
