Katmac Headlights

Is anybody wants to compare and contrast the Katmac headlight from eBay versus the factory headlights, here are the before and after pictures.

I'll try to take pictures of the beams later tonight. Once it warms up I'll hook up the vacuum adjust and take a movie of the four settings.

I really like how the euro's look on the SD's. It makes a great looking car look even better.

I just got done re-re-wiring the headlights, as I has put the wiring in the connectors completely backwards. I also replaced the blue tinted bulbs with Silverstars. There is an improvement over the stock headlights that I removed, but it's not that big of a deal. Once I finish hooking up the vaccum adjusters I will post more pictures.

So is there soldering required or what, I know I have to find some connector that will accept 6 wires instead of 5 due to the city light function but I don't know if they snap in or whatever.

Ara,

The kit I bought came with the 6 port connector. There is no soldering involved - you simply remove the wire from the old connector and put it in the new connector. I had messed up the order of the wires in the new connector, which is what I had to fix when I said "re-re-rewire".

Euros are always the way to go - always.

Finished

This morning I hooked up the city lights to come on when ever the car is running, sort of like Daytime Running Lights. I also hooked up the vacuum tubing to the switch inside the car to adjust the headlight aiming. I tried to take a movie of the headlights in motion, but it didn't come out too well.
