Keeping the brakes as cool as possible, even just around town, will help them last much longer.

I have yet to find a set of front SD rotors and calipers in good shape. But rest assured, as soon as I do they will be on my 240D by the next week.

I still think you have way too much time on your hands, if there's one thing on the 240D that doesn't need to be upgraded, it's the brakes. BTW, have you considered how changing just the fronts may affect the front/rear brake balance?

When i do this upgrade i plan to run cooling ducts from my front air damn (Carbon fiber, or VacForm Poly Carb - to flex) to the inner dust shields...ala old school Porsche style...

To proportion the front and rear stopping power - use a proportioning valve...

Enjoy
Jake

BF, I've used that adjustable proportioning valve to solve balance issues.
