No Lubri-moly Can I Use Diesel Kleene?

I can't get Lubrimoly anywhere, the VW dealership has NEVER heard of it, nor has any of the local diesel shops, the last MB dealership here closed about a month ago, you have to go to Edmonton now to get a Benz..I bought a litre of Diesel Kleene.....can I use this stuff like the Lubrimoly? the dude at the diesel shop says I can.....

You better be careful running that straight in the injection system. The diesel purge is designed to be used solo, but I dont think any other product that I know of is also. That product is designed to be used in the fuel tank mixed with diesel fuel.

I googled the product company, and they state "for the best results use the DSF700 Flush Machine" that is a direct intake thing, so I'm confident this will work...My boss did one on his Jetta and it did an AWESOME job...not to knock the Lubro-Moly stuff, but when your local VW dealer hasn't heard of it, then you know it's going to be hard to find.....they use the Diesel kleene stuff as well, which by the way is produced in my province!

Well most VW dealers are clueless anyway. So you cant say that if the VW dealer never heard of it and they have heard about PS diesel kleen then you should use the PS.

Funny enough our TDI passat didnt have the correct oil put in, its required 505.01 5w40 oil and they just put in penzoil 5w40 that wasnt on the 505.01 requirement list. Many other TDI club forum members even said when they went to the dealer to buy castol 505.01 they tryed to sell them the 505.00 that wasnt rated for a PD TDI engine and could actually ruin the engine.

So VW techs are clueless so you cant judge the product based on a clueless dealer. Some of the top rated VW dealers can still be clueless on specific oil and more.

also diesel purge isnt very popular over here because we have a small amount of diesel vehicles in the US. You could probably find it on the shelf at a auto store in germany because they have 40% diesel vehicles vs. less then 10% diesels in the US.

Order it online or from diesel giants site.

Once I ran my old 300d out of gas in the middle of nowhere without my cellphone. luckily, I had a gallon of diesel kleen with me. I dumped it in and primed it and that got me in to town with no problem. My car has never run better than it did on 100% diesel kleen!

Diesel Purge

I see you are in Canada, but I ordered some from here, 6.90 each. I ordered 10 cans so I will have some on hand and the shipping isn't so much.

Diesel Purge = Sea Foam?

I've read on another forum recently that a product called Sea Foam is the same stuff as Diesel Purge, only it's a lot easier to find on the shelves.

Watch out believing everything you read
The IPs are very expensive to replace so unless you are completely certain you would be a moron to loop that stuff through your fuel system full strength ala LubroMoly Diesel Purge
There is no substitute, the stuff can be bought online so why take chances
As a matter of fact I bought my last 4 cans at Advance Auto Parts

I highly doubt that, considering that Diesel Purge is made up mostly of purified filtered diesel, and we all know what would happen if that stuff went into a gasoline car, which Sea Foam is intended for use in.

The Saga continues

Yeah, well get this,

I phoned today 23 Diesel repair shops and parts stores in an approximate 500km radius, and every answer I got was "WHAT'S A DIESEL PURGE??"
like, can people be SO stupid? I explained it and described the loop process and all and they all had never heard or done it. same thing with the lubro-moly. I guess I'll have to oder it online... just wanted to try to find it locally first..
