Thanks for the compliment! We are just two guys hanging out in Buffalo passing the winters, having fun. My dad is amazing though - I just come up with crazy ideas - he always finds a way to make it work. I do not understand the question on the head lights...yes they work, with 90/100w mains, 55w fogs, and 35w valance - vacuum adjust.

My engine is a small block Ford (manual transmission will not fit aesthetically into interior – so it has an automatic with bell crank connections) - the car is a mutt.

What I did was go over the cost to make and have this car – which I love and would do it all over again in a second…

Cost (over 10 years) to rebuild and “save” my w123

$500 - W123 023 – no engine, old suspension, missing floorboards, rotted rockers, trunk pans rotted out, no options but rear defrost and vacuum adjust headlamps
Free – Donor car with small block Ford (the only way to do a transplant)
$509- Bodywork – steel, bondo, welding supplies, sealers, primers, replacement panels, hood liner, repaint car, build body kit
$1,400- Dealerships – supports, OEM stampings, hardlines, seals, grommets, hardware, trim, maintenance, oil pan, gaskets, hypoid oil
$866- Driveline – full braking system; calipers, booster, master, steering u joints – shafts, half shafts, rack and pinion, boots, brake line, brake fluid
$3,366- Engine – new remanufactured engine, upper intake, heads, headers, carbon fiber supplies (molds, material, etc), machined adaptors and parts for blower, Eaton M-90, Batteries, water pump, rebuild kits, aluminum radiator, electric fan, intercoolers, gauges (two different sets), hoses, tubing, sealant, white face gauges, LED interior lights, tachometer
$340- Glass – new front windshield, tint all windows
$52- Dashboard – used good dash from wrecker
$3,015- Catalogs – lowering springs, OEM shocks, HD shocks, full suspension rebuild, flex disks, 3 exhausts, 3 mufflers, 2 cats, (final-2.5” stainless steel), gaskets, door seals, windshield, - rear glass seals, lights, gauges (another set), slotted disks, stainless brake flex lines, bump steer kit, mounts, maintenance, care, love – custom plates
$490- Radio and CD changer
$1,171- Wheels/Tires – 14” rims / tires, 15” rims / tires, 17” rims / tires, mounting, balancing, stick on weights

$11,709 - Total

Could I ever gain any of my money back? No. Would I want to? No.

Thanks
Jake
