Question How do I test my vac pump

How do I test my vac pump? I can't get one of my 300 SD's to stop running.
I put on a new shutdown valve, and checked all the lines. If I have a problem
with the pump would that explain why my tranny is not going into reverce very
well? Thanks. Jay

Tap into the line from pump to brake system.
Just unlug one of the lines from this larger line and attach a vacuum gauge.
A hand vacuum pump like mighty vac has this gauge built in.

I think the number is 19 to 22" of vacuum.

Using the handheld vacuum pump attached to the vacuum shut off on the back of the injection pump - test the shut off valve.
