Odometer slow
Hello everyone.
After a great deal of work on my 82 300sd, I have noticed that my odometer isn't recording the correct amount of distance. I know that this car has an electronic speedo and the odometer seems to run off the speedo, so how do I go about hunting down the problem? The speed itself may be slow, I haven't been able to check it yet, but I do feel like I am not going as fast as I normally do compared to the normal traffic. Any advise would be appreciated Corey |

Thanks for the lead, but I can't seem to find anything in there on the electronic style speedo/odometer. There was plenty about the type with a cable, but I don't have a cable attached to the transmission. Am I on the wrong track here? I have a 1982 300sd.
Thanks Corey |

Hmmm

I have not found a DIY with pictures for the wire drive speedometer/odometer. R&R is almost the same across most of the DIY links. |
