My buddy just called and asked me a turbo Question. He wants to know if the turbo from a 5 cylinder MB engine is the same as one on a 6 cylinder 1993 300sdl. The SDL one is shot but he has one from a 83 300D. Wants to know if it can be used. Anyone have any thoughts?. Thanks Mike

What's a 93 300SDL?

I doubt the turbos are interchangeable. Are both Garretts or KKKs?

Hi, No thats the problem. The sdl is around 50 miles away. THe sdl owner called my friend to see what he should do about his blown turbo and my friend called to ask me if I knew if they were the same. If that makes sense!

they are definately different, but here is a new one on ebay that may fit.
