Talking You know you are a real Dieselhead when GoogleEarth...

You know you are a real Dieselhead when you click on your house under GoogleEarth and it shows a car jacked up in the driveway. I know the resolution is not good enough to show me working on the car, but the 3 or 4 pixels representing the car and especially its location on the driveway do tell me its me there working on the car in my normal service location....I'm being serious.............

Unfortunitly the high res pics stop about 1/4 of a mile from my house. Why would they only show north Milford and not along the coast?

Still a cool program I was looking at a building in China with a large number of bikes out back.

The cool part is the gov can read the number on the side of the socket you are using!

Wouldn't that be just a tad useless, as I'm told they have static pictures only, from about 2002?

The guy they were talking to said they update the photos every 18 month, but I'm sure only the major cities get updated that often.

I'm sure painting ads on your roof won't become the new ad venue. Atleast I hope not.

I have the only asphalt driveway on the block, so mine stands out. I looked at the neighborhood where I grew up, my recollection of how far things were from home was really off-kilter...I used to carry my golf clubs to the club, seemed like it was miles away, it's just over a hill. Really weird. The street I grew up on was curved about 45 degrees over its length, I recall that is was almost straight. I looked at Disney World, you could see the wakes from boats on the lakes...very slick.
