I applaud all who want to run veggie and be free from the arabs, but please heat the oil to at least 160 degree and higher and keep your engnie alive.

Consider that everything that you read in this thread may be free spam advertising by people who want to sell you products and the people they already suckered into buying them.

I wish more blenders and 2 tankers would measure their fuel temperature right before the injector. TWR has a fuel heater that doesn't seem to be living up to its title.

My fascination with alternate fuels goes back to my HS years after my chemistry professor give us the theory of the synthetic gasoline that Rommel supposedly utilized in the desert.
I remember buying the “plans” for a 80 MPG carburetor advertised at Popular Mechanics, needless to say if that concept work or not, and in the 70’s used a “Water vapor injector” that only help to burn one of the engine valves and also bought a conversion to run the car on natural gas some of you guys may remember this, you used to re-fuel your gas tank with a special pump hooked to your kitchen stove in place of the burner also bought a NSU car with an original Wankel engine capable to run on different fuels a great and fun car.
And of course back then I know the Diesel engine was capable to run on different light oils but a diesel MB was way out of my budget in those years, not wanting to go any further whit this let me conclude with this observation now I am able to run my MB on WVO and diesel or 100% WVO if I want to do that, thank God I can afford to fill up with diesel even if it prices go up, but if I have the option not to I will take it.

Lovecraft admits that none of its "conversions" get oil temp above 120 F:

We have redesigned some of our components. Future conversions will have a newly designed heat exchanger added, jumping the temperature a bit (to 160 deg) we've done over 500 vehicles that never exceed 120 degrees, and there has never been a temp related issue. We're doing the new ones hotter, because of the debate, and because is very easy to do. We have pictures and descriptions posting soon. Anyone with an existing conversion will be able to upgrade for the cost of manufacturing the part (under $50) Otherwise, it will retail around $80
