Leaking oil around glow plugs?
For those of you following my saga, I thought I was leaking oil from my valve cover, so took it off, adjusted my valves, replaced gasket and i'm still leaking oil. When idleing, the seams around my glow plugs seem to get wet, and when the engine is under load, The little pools of oil collect on the rim of the engine next to the glow plug. Is leaking oil from the around the glow plug common? I can't seem to find any threads discussing this issue.

i bet
you have seeping fuel return lines. they are the small fabric hoses that go from fuel injector to injector.

My moneys with Tom. "return lines".. there shouldnt be any lub oil leaking around the GPs. Look real close and see if its not fuel.

i have seen oil from a leaking head gasket allow oil to seep in around the injectors, when the engine gets hot it causes the oil to push out making it appear that the injectors are seeping oil.
