Dash Panels?

1980 300TD

I am really not sure what they are called but I am looking for the lower dash panels that hide all the vacuume and wiring below the steering wheel and glove compartment. My panels were brittle and broke in a few places. I have the type that have screws holding it in place with small covers that snap in place to hide the screws. Blue interior and I understand about the possible color mismatch because the car is 26 yrs old. Anybody have any ideas were I might get some? My local junkyard is a complete hit or miss because they usually have about 10 or so mercedes and not usually that year. Thanks

You usually call them knee panels. I am sure that is not the MB name, but yes in the salvage yard, they can be hit or miss. The drivers side back peice is the most common missing and broken one. I had to look for 1 hour and found 2 pieces I needed.

Jake,

I would definitely be interested in painting them. I just want the car to look better. This one will never be a restore job I'm afraid, but I will keep fixing it so that it will keep going for years. Send me an email or message. Thanks

Todd

I have a pair that come out of my wagon with blue interior, that I would like get out of my shop. I found a better pair in a junkyard dog.
