Chrome Windshield trim, how to put it back?

Replaced my windshield yesterday; took me a while to get all the old weather-strip glue out of the window channel, no rust what so ever, installing the windshield itself was a pretty easy job.

But unfortunately nothing with these coupes comes easy, I can't get the chrome trim back in place, any suggestions, there must be an easy way?

The chrome trim goes in before you install the windshield and gasket. Can't do it afterwords on any of the Mercedes I'm familiar with.

I have only done a rear window but I think you should have put the trim in the seal channel before you put the window in the car.

bite the bullet...

I did front and rear seals on a 123 I had and you will demolish the trim trying to put it in AFTER the install.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

You will curve/wrinkle the trim trying to install it now the gasket is in..
Bite the bullet......remove the gasket/glass and install trim before going back with gasket.......at least everything is still fresh.....on the otherhand...So-Ca look !
