Greetings,
The other day I replaced the #4 line from the injector pump to the cylinder on my 1984 190d, 2.2. While I had the parts removed to get at it, I noticed a round something on top of the pump that has a vaccum line running to (or from) it. But, there was no line attached to it. I looked and looked for a vaccum line that might have come off. Well, I never did find it. I was just wondering: does this part have a line running to it, or is that just the way it should be? O yes, should that metal line have any contact to anything between the pump and engine? Right now the line (its the longest line) is pushed up against an bracket. O yes again, the line costs $58 at the Mercedes dealer in Nashville, and $38 in Bowling Green. I had to get it from Nashville because I needed it that day. Take it easy.
