May install a LOUD Airhorn !!!!
Would like to get some feedback on this.
This sort of goes against my style, but I live in an area that has a crapload of s**ty and inconsiderate drivers. Like alot of places ...But here we have all that PLUS people that should have stopped operating heavy machinery 20 years ago too. From years of frustration, I am considering installing one of those super loud truck horns on my old 300D. I've seen some kid with a Ford PU truck who has a Train horn on his truck. Not in favor of this but **** some of these drivers deserve to get blasted the way they drive... Is this a good thing ???? |
A big airhorn on your roof or hood would look VERY cheesy on a Mercedes. However, the smaller airhorns will fit well under the hood or the trim panel under the bumper.
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...1&d=1143781590 They sound like big ferrari but I bet 4 sets of them at the same time will get some attention. |
Go for it!!
Air horns are COOL! |
LOUD horn
'Stop by and visit with your local firemen.
They will have an electronic horn on the engine, that will wake the dead! It'll have multiple settings and different noises. personally,if I win the lottery,I want something with the decibel power of the old Queen Mary's horns. |

My dad and I actually came up with an alternative to an airhorn assembly etc...we thought, why not just tripple up the original horns, yes TRIPPLE them. :D :D Mount them all over the place in the front bumper and where the original two are....so you have 3x the volume. The one concern was the amperage they will draw, any idea what six of the stock horns would use? :D  Just want to make sure the wires/fuse/steeringwheel horn switch can handle six of them. ;)
I might double mine up.....not sure if I am willing to go to six of them, my dad wanted to do a compressor and real air horn....so six stock horns is a compromise-idea.......we'll see..... **Edit: I've been looking at the horns from later model years, maybe we'd use a few of those too.....so its just one big blast of horrifying sounding noise...they are even at a higher frequency.....this could be interesting..... :D |

Why stop there. Install an air horn system from a locamotive! Hornblasters.com has the stuff you need. They have a series of 5 videos that is some of the "funnies caught in action: stuff I have ever seen. They were riding around in some small little Ford car "blasting" unsuspecting citizens on the street.
Your gotta watch it. http://www.hornblasters.com/video.php |

I feel so lucky that I did it just in the nick of time. This was the closest call I've had in a long time. And I often am driving my kids (and friends kids) somewhere.

So multiply the number of horns by twenty, and you'll nearly achieve your goal. |

But, did you check out the price of the kit for the 5KLA?? If you want a true system from a locomotove...........it's going to cost you as much as a decent W123............. |
