Question How to Remove....

How do you remove the cable that runs from the linkage to the transmission.
I need to know how to get it out of the trans. A friend had a small fire and
melted the cable. Thanks. Jay

Look at post 3 in this discussion.
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=141969&highlight=bowden+cable+replace

They describe:
1. Remove Bowden cable end from linkage above (to create slack).
2. Pull cable housing out of transmission below.
3. Pull cable out and grab onto rod with needle nose pliers.
4. Hold rod while unhooking cable.
