I have read a post somewhere about the liqui-moly diesel purge sold in the partsshop.I have heard that you run it directly to the injection pump with the feed and return lines.Which lines are these? I am assuming the one that goes from the main FF to the inj. pump is the feed line but which one do I remove for the return? The 3mm braided hose on the #1 injector? It goes back to the FF.Also I have heard never to run this straight. My good friend owns a Porsche/Audi/Vw shop.He said he mixes it 50/50 with diesel and it works just as good.He also said whatever I do..do NOT let the feed line suck in air. Will it be worth the time, risk,& effort to do this procedure? Thanks in advance...

I have used it and I'm going to use another can this weekend. It does come with instructions which are really easy to follow. Just pour into a glass jar and have the inlet fuel line at the bottom and the return line going back into the jar. Stop the engine before you run out. I have to say that it's not much fun standing there holding a jar for about 15 minutes. But it works good. andy

Here's a helpful website illustrating the procedure:

Simple Country Wisdom...

After reading all of this, I would follow the advice of our moderator, TXBill, and fill the filter with the diesel purge, and add the rest to the tank as the directions from the link suggest you do anyway.

My only remaining questions are, would you still need to do this procedure if you use DFC and/or 85+ at every fill up, and drive hard on the freeway?

Three ways to use this product (by the way, its a very good product)

1) Run you gas tank till its almost empty, wait till the light comes on, and then drive some and put some in there last minute. But I dont like this method because its dilluted too much and running on E can cause fuel pump failure.

2) Use the fuel filter method, much faster and easier, but once again its dilluted. And when you try to use 2 cans of this stuff, unscrewing the fuel filter 4 times and screwing it back in 4 times gets old.

3) Use it the performance product way, by disconnecting the line, etc. Its the most concentrated way of using this product and works well, this is how I do it, but it does take longer and more complicated.

Try not dilluting the product and dont let air into the lines. Goodluck...
