Leaking windshield repairs itself?
As you guys know I just replaced my windshield myself, had some trouble getting the chrome trim back in place.
A day after I installed the new windshield the rain started to fall down hard here in Southern CA and off course the windshield was leaking, not a bit but a lot, the passenger side carpet was soaked, I could see the water dripping from under-need the dashboard! I used 3M weather-stripping all around, both on the metal and on the seal. Now after the second wave of rain there are no leaks anymore that I can spot; I drove the car on the freeway in the poring rain had it uncovered for a night in the rain. Nothing, not a drip of water on the carpet. Does the seal or 3M weather-stripping need time to settle?
