radiator fluid at the bottom of the vacuum line box

Sorry ,im not a mechanic ,but this is the problem . Where all the vacuum hoses lead to on my 79 300td ,theres a leak at the top and bottom of this pump. The hoses that lead to the bottom of the pump look ok,I believe its the piece thats leaking. Is this the vacuum pump? What does the piece cost?

I dont follow you. The vacuum pump is on the front of the engine. Maybe a pic of the problem area?

Steve, I wonder if it might be the ACC servo that's the issue. Just a WAG...

If you don't care about heat in the cabin, you could probably bypass it, I suppose ... as you may have read by the link, it's an expensive part to replace. There's also an electronic replacement available as well as a metal-body unit in the aftermarket.

A great feature of this forum is the knowledge available through the archives. Click the search function on the toolbar and type in "servo." you'll find out everything you need to know to make a sound decision. Good luck.
