Door Lock Kaput

Parked my car overnight at work, locked the doors. Come back the next day can't open the door anymore. The cylinder was sticking out a 1/4 inch and it won't rotate.

Did someone try to force the lock or is this something that happens overtime with these locks?

Is this repairable or do I need a complete new locking system?

Never heard of this one.
I would think that the lock would show visible signs of damage if someone tried to force it.

Sounds like you need a replacement though.

Can you get the cylinder to go back in ?

Usually you need to turn the lock with a key to get it out of the door to replace it.

The cylinder go's back in, but if I pull the key out it will take the cylinder out 1/4 of an inch.

Are those replacements expensive?
